Dr.
Seddik Mohamed Afifi, Ph.D. & Professor of Management,
is The Founder and President of Thebes Academy, Cairo,
Egypt and the Dean of Higher Institute for Management
and Information Technology.

Dr.Seddik was born in Jan. 1942; he was raised in Cairo, Egypt.
He obtained his undergraduate degree in Commerce form The Faculty
of commerce, Cairo University in 1962, and went on to obtain
a M.Sc. in Management Sciences, form The University of Manchester,
England, 1966 where he had found his first dream. After
that, he got his first Ph.D. in
Management Studies,from The University of Bradford, England, in 1969.
Since
1969, he started his academic work as an Assistant
Professor of Management, University of Asyout, Egypt,
1969 – 73 then he became an Associate Professor of Management,
University of Kuwait
1973 - 77
In addition to his normal
responsibilities, he initiated a “Research and
Training Commission “in Faculty of Commerce -
a pioneer effort to offer training and consultancy
service, and fund research form 1975 - 77.
From
1977- 1981, he became Professor and Chairman of Business
Administration Department, Pioneering University of Banha, Egypt
.
In
1981 he became the first Dean of the Faculty of Commerce,
Menofia University, Egypt, till 1997.
About his personal life Dr.Seddik is married to Dr.Safaa
Al-Kadi, They have two daughters and a son, Dr.Amal,
Ph.D. of Business Administration, University of Aston,
UK, Mr.Ayman B.C of Economy from California, and Miss.Lina
B.C of Management form AUC.
He
has one granddaughter called Alia and grandsons
Ahmed, Mostafa, Mohamed and Adham.
